North coast brewing

No one says it better than they do;

"A pioneer in the craft beer movement, opened in 1988 as a local brew pub in the historic town of Fort Bragg, located on California’s Mendocino Coast.

Under the leadership of brew master Mark Ruedrich, the brewery has developed a strong reputation for quality having won more than 70 awards in national and international competitions.

In addition to Red Seal Ale, Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout, Scrimshaw Pilsner, and other fine North Coast brands, the brewery has resurrected the old Acme label with a heritage dating back to the San Francisco of the 1860’s.

These exceptional beers are available in 36 states now and also are exported to Europe and the Pacific Rim."

Piaci Pub & Pizzeria, Ft. Bragg, Ca.

Piaci Pizzaria

Chuckles the Clone says:

"Piaci Pizza in Ft. Bragg is the, and I'm not joking, is the finest pizza on the west coast. A tiny place serving pizza, beer, and salads. The beer is a nice selection of interesting local microbrews. The pizzas come in two sizes: slightly-too-much-for-one and slightly-too-little-for-four. The owner's from back east and clearly cares very deeply about quality, and has the taste and skill to back that up.

A tiny place with about 6 stools at a counter and several tables. Sardonic bartender. It's the only pizza place in Ft. Bragg on the *west* side of Rt. 1 (which is important to remember because there are several other pizza possibilities and you don't want to go there). It's across Redwood from the Mendo Bistro (also good), somewhat hidden in the back.

This should actually be considered a destination for pizza fans. Did I mention it's also one of the cheapest places in town to eat..."

This is one of your webmaster's favorite places in Ft. Bragg; cozy, great food and an excellent selection of beers. at about 300 ft. from the Skunk Train station, its a perfect pit-stop coming or going on the Skunk.

Cost; $15.00 per person
